CPAM is excited to be able to offer a three-hour workshop focused on Algebraic Reasoning Across the K-12 Curriculum. The workshop is open to all Presidential Awardees and up to 3 of their guests. This workshop will explore how students think and develop ideas about algebra as they grow and develop throughout their education.
This interactive virtual workshop will focus on teaching algebraic concepts from their introduction in elementary grades to middle grades and then to high school and beyond. The workshop will provide informational sections along with breakout groups for discussions and the sharing of ideas.
The workshop will be led by Presidential Awardees:
Linda Antinone, Ohio 1993
Jill Gough, Pennsylvania 1998
Veronica Meeks, Texas 2002
Tom Reardon, Ohio 1997
CPAM is honored to have James Tanton, Global Math Project Founder and MAA Mathematician-at-Large and NCTM President Kevin Dykema as featured guest speakers to add special remarks throughout the workshop.
This workshop is open to all PAEMST Awardees. Each Awardee may register up to 3 guests. Please register online.
CPAM is offering this workshop with no registration fee. However, participants are encouraged to make a donation to the Denise I. Griffiths CPAM Scholarship. Continuing Education Credits will be provided through Purdue University.
