The rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education has ignited both excitement and debate about its role in the classroom. In a world increasingly shaped by AI, developing AI literacy is essential for digital citizenship and student success, demanding that teachers have essential knowledge and skills to use, design, and adapt AI literacy into their curriculum.

This workshop introduces a pedagogical framework and practical strategies for integrating AI literacy – the ability to understand, use, and critically evaluate AI – into K-12 mathematics curriculum. The webinar will provide ready-to-use lesson examples, demonstrate the connections between mathematical practices and Big Ideas in AI, and introduce practical tools for effective AI literacy integration.
